With offices in London, Krakow, Houston and Singapore, GX continues to build our team and we are now looking for a Pricing Analyst to develop your expertise around commodity trading and price assessments and support the team to enable prices and benchmark creation in line with the company methodology. 

About the role:

This role provides the opportunity to deepen expertise, build on experience, and take further ownership in the assigned market(s). Furthermore, it provides the opportunity to build external market presence and commercial skills through client meetings and business development activities.  Reporting to the Pricing Director – Americas, the Pricing Analyst will: 

  • Hold responsibility for daily assessment of assigned commodity market(s), including examining the integrity of the underlying data used for assessment and ensuring correct methodology is applied to produce published indexes.
  • Keep abreast of market developments that could impact pricing or require updating/amending underlying methodology for pricing assigned market(s).
  • Develop/maintain dialogue with traders/brokers and other relevant market participants.
  • Actively source additional data to underpin current and future GX indexes.
  • Support the Sales team to “socialise” GX data in the market and encourage its adoption/utilization.
  • Consistently look for opportunities to launch new and unique indexes, and otherwise enhance GX’s product offering.

You Offer:

  • A BA/BS is required, with preference towards numerate subjects such as Engineering, Finance, or Economics.
  • Experience in the commodities markets as a fundamental or pricing analyst, trader/broker, or related is preferred.
  • Comfortable sourcing and building relationships with data providers.
  • Solution driven, naturally curious, possess a high level of numerical ability, and are proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Your accuracy and attention to detail are exceptional.
  • Possess strong communication skills and the confidence and ability to present and articulate a topic clearly.
  • An interest in commodities, with a strong desire to learn more about the mechanics of pricing.
  • A strong commitment to consistently demonstrate professionalism with colleagues, customers, data providers, and the public to positively represent GX.  
  • A commitment to understand and demonstrate GX’s core values.
