About the show
The Price of Everything is the General Index podcast about how commodities get a price: who sets it, how benchmarks are built, and why it matters to everyone who trades.
Series 1 traced the story of Dated Brent, from the first traded oil of the 1860s to today's reform debates. Later episodes cover sustainable aviation fuel, voluntary carbon, marine fuels, Middle East crude and European gasoline.
General Index publishes FCA-regulated energy benchmarks built on real market activity, with 6,000+ daily prices across crude oil, refined products, natural gas and energy transition.
