About the role:

We're looking for an experienced Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing sales team. As an SDR, you'll be the first point of contact for potential customers, playing a critical role in driving General Index’s growth by identifying and qualifying new business opportunities.

What you'll be doing:

  • Prospecting into target accounts via cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other outbound channels.
  • Qualifying inbound marketing leads and convert them into sales opportunities.
  • Researching prospects and identify key decision-makers.
  • Scheduling discovery meetings and product demos for Account Executives.
  • Maintaining accurate activity and pipeline data in CRM.
  • Following up consistently with prospects through multi-touch sequences.
  • Collaborating with marketing on campaigns and messaging feedback.
  • Meeting or exceed monthly quotas for meetings set and opportunities created.
  • Staying up to date on product offerings, industry trends, and competitors.
  • Developing a firm understanding of our data and markets – articulate how our data products solve problems and create opportunities for our customers.
  • Using AI tooling to enable and finesse our GTM processes.

About you:

  • Around 12 months’ experience in a similar Sales Development role.
  • Have an interest in Commodities markets and how these operate.
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Are coachable and eager to learn.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)
  • Find working in office with your team exciting.
