FAQs

What do I get in the free trial, and do I need a credit card?
Full access to 6,000+ prices for 14 days. No credit card required.
How is General Index data different from traditional price reporting agencies?
Our prices are derived from actual transactional data, not surveyed submissions.
What commodities does General Index cover?
We cover crude oil, refined products, natural gas, LPG/NGL, marine fuels, biofuels, sustainable aviation fuel, hydrogen, carbon, and guarentees of origin.
Do you offer monthly subscriptions?
We sell annual plans only. This keeps pricing simple and ensures you get uninterrupted access to benchmark data throughout your trading cycle.
Can I integrate GX data into my internal systems?
Premium includes limited API access for individual use. If you need data flowing into internal systems, models or platforms at scall, you'll need an enterprise plan. Find out more by contacting support@general-index.com.
What platforms can GX data be pushed to?
Bloomberg, FactSet, Snowflake, AWS, ICE, LSEG, and more via our Data Hub.
Is General Index regulated?
Yes. General index is authorized and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and annually audited against the IOSCO principles.
What support is available?
Premium users can reach our team at support@general-index.com. Enterprise customers get a dedicated Customer Success Manager for onboarding, integrations, and ongoing sequences.
